Dear PORSEC2008 participants,
Dear friends,

PORSEC2008 - the 9th Pan Ocean Remote Sensing Conference was successfully held in Guangzhou China on December 2 – 6, together with the “International Remote Sensing Tutorial Workshop” held on 27-30 Nov 2008. The Organizing Committee wishes to express the deepest thanks to all of you for your participation and great support.

We hope that this gathering has been a memorable occasion to all of you, and hope that many of you will keep in touch in the future. I also hope that when you look back on your time here, you will still remember the pleasure that it has brought to everyone, the great thing that it has achieved during and after the PORSEC2008.

(2) We are planning to publish a book (Theme: Remote sensing, oceanic manifestation of global changes). You are welcome to submit your full papers/chapter. Please send the title of your paper/chapter before December 30, and submit your full paper to porsec2008@scsio.ac.cn before January 30. We have already received some papers/chapters. The book is expected to come out in 2009.

(3) You are welocme to meet friends, to make any comment, suggestion or discussion in the PORSEC BBS (http://lingzis.51.net/cgi-bin/guest/guestbook.cgi) donated by Lingzis. We would love to see you in the BBS. So don't be shy to share with us. We will also try to offer some news related to the next conference - PORSEC 2010 to be held in Taiwan in two years .
